The Sling 2 Turbo is the aircraft selected by Sonaca Aircraft of Belgium on which to base the Sonaca S200, EASA CS-VLA certified, “Training Aircraft of Reference”.
The Sling 2 Turbo is the “sports car” of the fleet. Using the same power train as the Sling 4, but with a smaller wing and lighter airframe, it handles like a fighter. If you want to tug gliders, climb out of tight runways, see the mountains close-up or just enjoy some sporty flying around the patch, the Sling 2 Turbo is the aircraft for you. The Sling 2 Turbo is a superbly balanced and inspirational aircraft. Like the Sling 4, it makes an excellent tourer with an "if you can fit it in you can put it in” operational envelope. Standard range is 700 nm (ZU-SNG has long range tanks giving a range of more than 1,200 nm) and she’ll cruise at 130 KTAS burning less than 6 gph (23 lt/hr) in the cruise at 9,000 ft AMSL or above. Again, she enjoys the Garmin suite of instruments, including autopilot, has a spacious baggage compartment, is like most Fly Sling Aircraft, fitted with a ballistic rescue parachute and despite all the above is considered one of safest and forgiving training aircraft available.
The minimum daily rate is ordinarily equivalent to three hours flight time. If there are circumstances in which this would prejudice you, however, you are welcome to seek to discuss an alternative arrangement with us in advance. Such an arrangement, however, will only be applicable if agreed with you in writing.
